Hello Everyone!
As many of you already know, I will be travelling to Ghana (in West Africa) for 6 weeks this summer with a volunteer group called Operation Groundswell. The trip is specifically oriented to the health-care system, and as such I will have the opportunity to work with medical NGO's, HIV/AIDS organizations, and in hospitals and laboratories. I will also have the chance to see some of Ghana's cities, as well as rural townships, where I will stay with host families, and get a real insider's look at the country.
I am very excited to explore Ghana, learn from its people, and hopefully make a contribution to their health-care system. To aid in this contribution, the team of students participating in the trip are asked to raise funds to put towards in-country projects. I believe that we will be able to make a profound and lasting impact on the communities we work with, and your help in donating will go a long way in assisting this.
